About the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) was created to help the northeastern Illinois region address land use and transportation challenges. We serve 284 municipalities from Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties.

CMAP works with numerous partners to implement ON TO 2050, a long-range plan to help northeastern Illinois address transportation, equity, environmental, and other quality-of-life issues.
