What is the Calumet Park Corridor Plan?
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is partnering with the Village of Calumet Park to develop the Calumet Park Corridor Plan which will build on the Village's comprehensive plan that was adopted in 2020. The project will develop a plan that addresses transportation and safety improvements, economic development opportunities, and strategies to attract further investment and development within the study area.
Which corridors are included in the study area
The study area will be focusing on three corridors: 127th Street, officially known as Obama Drive, which commercially spans from Winchester Avenue to Aberdeen Street; and Ashland Avenue, from the transit-oriented development area of the Ashland Avenue; the Metra station at the north to the Raceway Park Shopping Center at Vermont Avenue to the south.
