Welcome to the Village of Glen Ellyn Accessible Communities Plan. We need your input to understand where sidewalks, intersections, streets, public parking, and other pedestrian areas in Glen Ellyn are not accessible to people with disabilities or mobility challenges. No one knows our community better than you, our neighbors!

Your experiences and input — along with detailed assessments of our transportation infrastructure — will help the Village of Glen Ellyn identify and prioritize improvements so that everyone, regardless of ability, can get around safely and conveniently.

This plan is part of our village’s effort to achieve compliance to the American with Disabilities Act. The Accessible Neighborhoods Plan will identify accessibility barriers in sidewalks, crosswalks and streets, then prioritize and budget for improvements. If any of the statements below resonate, we especially want to hear from you — but all input is welcome!

  1. You are someone who uses a mobility aid, like a wheelchair, crutches, cane, or walker,

  1. You are someone who pushes a stroller or cart

  1. You are taking care of someone with a disability or mobility challenges

  1. You have a visual, auditory, and cognitive disability

  1. You have used a mobility aid at some point in your life

There are a few ways to get involved:

  1. Take the survey (10 minutes)
