Village Seeks Input on Draft ADA Accessibility Plan

The Village of Glen Ellyn is seeking community feedback on its draft Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, which identifies barriers to accessibility in public spaces and outlines priorities for future improvements.

The plan evaluates sidewalks, intersections, streets, public parking, and other pedestrian areas throughout the Village to help ensure they are accessible to people with disabilities and mobility challenges.

Village staff worked with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and consulting partners to develop the draft plan using community input gathered through public meetings, interviews, and surveys.

Review the Plan & Share Feedback

The public comment period is open March 5 through April 10. Community members are encouraged to review the draft plan and share their feedback.

Community Meeting

A public meeting to discuss the draft ADA Transition Plan will be held:

March 18 | 6–7:30 p.m.
Galligan Board Room
