Glendale Heights Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan
The Village of Glendale Heights has partnered with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to develop the Glendale Heights Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.
Through data collection and analysis, stakeholder interviews, and community input, the Glendale Heights Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan will:
It is important that our communities have streets that are safe, comfortable, and accessible for all users, including people who travel by foot, mobility device, or bike. Bicycling and walking have economic, environmental, social, and health benefits – plus, they can be fun ways to travel!
By making our streets friendly for people walking and biking of all ages and abilities, our community members will have safer and more comfortable opportunities to bike and walk to school, work, parks, community centers, local businesses, and to family and friends in Glendale Heights.

Community involvement is welcomed and important throughout the planning process! You can share your input during public meetings, events, and online activities. During the planning process, the project team will organize activities and events to engage with and listen to the Glendale Heights community, stakeholders, and local agencies.
