The City of Hickory Hills is working with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and its consultants to develop a Capital Improvement Plan to guide and prioritize large capital and infrastructure improvements in Hickory Hills over the next five years. As part of this partnership, the project team will host training workshops to equip city staff and officials with the tools and knowledge needed to implement projects included in the Capital Improvement Plan.

The development of Hickory Hills' Capital Improvement Plan also involves the community, including residents and other stakeholders. The project team is using a participatory budgeting process to help identify projects for Hickory Hills' Capital Improvement Plan. Public engagement is an important part of this process.
