Final Housing Readiness Action Plan

Thank you to everyone who participated in the housing readiness planning process! Your feedback and ideas helped craft the action plan. The Kane County Housing Readiness Action Plan was adopted by the Kane County Board on June 9, 2026.


The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is partnering with Kane County to create a housing checklist to help communities meet housing needs for the future. The checklist will help residents and elected and appointed officials guide future actions, decisions, and development in the community.
