The Village of Round Lake Beach has partnered with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to create the Round Lake Beach Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The plan will develop recommendations that represents the vision of the Round Lake Beach community.

Through data collection and analysis, community listening and feedback, the Round Lake Beach Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan will:

It is important that our communities have streets that are safe, comfortable, and accessible for all users, including people who travel by foot, mobility device, or bike. Bicycling and walking have economic, environmental, social, and health benefits – plus, they can be fun ways to travel!

By making our streets friendly for people walking and biking of all ages and abilities, our community members will have safer and more comfortable opportunities to bike and walk to school, work, parks, community centers, local businesses, and to family and friends in Round Lake Beach.

Community involvement is welcomed and important throughout the planning process!
