South LaGrange Road Corridor Plan

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is partnering with the Village of La Grange to develop the South La Grange Corridor Plan, which will build on the foundation laid in the Village’s recent Comprehensive Plan. The project aims to create a plan to transform South La Grange Road into a safe, accessible, and thriving corridor. The plan will help residents and elected and appointed officials guide future actions, decisions, and development in the community.

The La Grange Corridor Plan will focus on goals identified in their Comprehensive Plan:

• Preserve the character of La Grange Road while establishing a unique design standard through incremental development
• Improve ways for residents to safely access destinations within and across the La Grange Road corridor by bike or walking
• Identify new residential development to contribute a diverse housing stock

The study area focuses on La Grange Avenue from West 47th Street to East Plainfield Road within La Grange.
