FLIP 2021 has ended.

In the last session, we talked about why it’s important to engage the community. How do we use the information that we gather to inform our decisions?

This week, we will talk about how urban planners form recommendations and how they use data to do so. Lindsay Bayley, a planner at CMAP, will talk to us about one of CMAP’s projects featuring a neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. Then, we’ll get to put on our planner hat and recommend which projects to fund based on different priorities.

Before class

Check out the Green Line South Action Plan to learn more about the work Lindsay Bayley is doing in the Washington Park Community.

During class

Join us on July 23, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., for class.

You can find the class agenda under the Session Documents section.

After class
