The Village of Worth is working with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and a consultant. Together, they are creating the village's first Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

This plan looks ahead five years. It will guide how Worth plans, prioritizes, and pays for major upgrades to infrastructure and facilities. The CIP will focus on important projects like:

  • Improving local roads
  • Upgrading water, sewer, and stormwater systems
  • Renovating public buildings and community spaces
  • Buying essential vehicles and equipment
  • Investing in modern technology

The CIP is more than just a list of projects. It's a tool that helps show transparency, accountability, and long-term planning. It will help residents and businesses understand how public money is being used to improve the community.

    Help shape Worth’s future — choose the project you’d like to see in the Capital Improvement Plan.

    The Village of Worth is working with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and a consultant. Together, they are creating the village’s first Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). This plan looks ahead five years. It will guide how Worth plans, prioritizes, and pays for major upgrades to infrastructure and facilities. A steering committee of residents and village leadership developed six project proposals based on community feedback gathered in the fall. The proposal that receives the most votes on this survey will be included in the plan.

    Capital Project Needs and Priorities

    The Village of Worth is working with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and a consultant to create a Capital Improvement Plan. This survey is an opportunity to share feedback on infrastructure in Worth and the types of capital projects that should be prioritized. Capital projects are major upgrades to infrastructure and facilities or large purchases of vehicles or equipment. Please complete the survey by October 17th.
