Reimagine River Grove
The Village of River Grove has partnered with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to create Reimagine River Grove, its first comprehensive plan and establish a vision and land use strategy for the village. The plan will help residents and elected and appointed officials guide future actions, decisions, and development in the community. The Reimagine River Grove Comprehensive Plan will strengthen River Grove's vitality and create a more livable, walkable, and resilient community for years to come.
To ensure the wants of residents are included in this vision, community engagement will be a central part of this plan. We want to hear from you! Please use the tabs below to share your thoughts and ideas for the community.

Bike more
It can be very challenging to bike around River Grove. While the sidewalk network is good, there are few bike amenities. Local roads don't provide much of an option as you regularly have to cross major IDOT roads at unsafe intersections. There is only one way to cross the river and it's an arterial.

Stop light
Stop light on Elm and Grand. It is the only two way small street and it is a very busy dangerous one. Accidents all the time, crashes into tire shop, into autobody shop, people killed. Safety first please! We need it.

I'd love to see a more interesting downtown with more shops and restaurants - more places to sit down, more parking for those desired shops.
